Museum exhibition planning of “Charles of Bourbon and the spread of Antiquities: Naples, Madrid, Mexico City”
The exhibition was part of the celebrations for the tricentennial of the birth of Charles of Bourbon. Its main focus was to emphasize the king’s role in enhancing knowledge about the antiquities brought to light as part of the excavations of the Vesuvian cities promoted by the king himself. The most modern instrument available in the eighteenth century was used to achieve this goal: the production and dissemination of printed books. The three sections of the exhibition was characterized by projections, immersive and multi-touch installations.
Many international institutions involved in the exhibition such as Museo Nacional del Prado, l’Antigua Academia de San Carlos of Mexico City, and Teatro di S. Carlo.
